Our Story

David & Sari

Purrfect Little Art® started with a little tooth.

Sari created a playful dental appointment reminder for her sister while completing a pediatric dentistry rotation. With a background in architecture and a love for illustration, Sari began experimenting with ways to make something as ordinary as a dental reminder feel a little more fun.

People loved it.

What started as one little illustration grew into a collection of whimsical dental designs. Along the way, Sari discovered something she loved even more than creating art: creating things that made people feel seen.

That idea became the heart of Purrfect Little Art.

As the shop grew, so did the connection to the dental community. But one group in particular stood out: dental hygiene students.

Because becoming a dental hygienist is about so much more than learning how to scale calculus or pass another practical.

It’s choosing a career because you care about people. It’s wanting to make a difference in your community. It’s balancing the desire to help others with the very real need for a stable, fulfilling career. And it’s spending years learning, practicing, stressing, doubting yourself, and somehow finding the courage to keep showing up.

We wanted to make something for those people.

Something that could make a long day at school feel a little lighter. Something that could remind a student, “You’re doing better than you think.” Something that could celebrate the profession they are working so hard to become part of.

So Purrfect Little Art became more than a place for cute dental illustrations.

It became a place for dental hygiene students and dental professionals to find a little joy, encouragement, and personality in a profession that means so much to them.

Today, every product we create starts with the same question: How can we make this person smile?

Sometimes that’s through a funny design that feels way too relatable. Sometimes it’s a little encouragement during a stressful semester. Sometimes it’s a gift for a friend who finally survived clinic. And sometimes it’s simply something cute that makes their desk feel a little more like their own.

Because we believe the things that make us smile aren’t frivolous. They’re reminders of who we are, what we love, and why we started in the first place.

That’s what Purrfect Little Art is here to create: A little more joy for the people who spend so much of their time caring for others.

Every illustration, product, and tiny detail is created with that purpose in mind.

And we’re just getting started.

Welcome to Purrfect Little Art!

Much Love,

Sari

Sari

Hi! I'm the founder and owner of Purrfect Little Art®. I graduated from the University of Southern California School of Architecture. Throughout my academic years I loved and hated architecture, but it taught me so many skills that I now use at Purrfect Little Art®. In 2020, during the midst of the worldwide uncertainties, I turned to crafting. I learned how to turn my artwork into handmade stationery, and throughout that year I perfected my craft. In 2021, I decided to start selling them online while working full-time at an architecture firm. Sales were more than what I could've imagined and with the sweetest reviews! So when my husband and I decided to move to Pittsburgh, I decided to focus full-time on Purrfect Little Art® :)!

I'm so excited to where this journey has taken me and can't wait for what's next.

Piña

Hello! I'm David but I go by my last name Piña. I'm a Marine Corps Veteran and an Art Therapist. My journey at Purrfect Little Art® started off by packing orders during high seasons. And after I married Sari, I took a more active role packing orders, running deliveries and assisting in the making of some of the products. You may recognize me from my cameos in Reels and TikToks.

Tino

Hi! I'm Tino and I'm the youngest member at Purrfect Little Art®. My role is that of a supervisor. I make sure the team is working, I encourage play and food breaks (mostly for me), and I bring a lot of energy to the office.

You might see me in some stories, reels and/or TikToks.
